About Me

My Story

Before I fell pregnant I was training to compete in Boxing. My training regime was hard and fast paced and I loved it. It was my happy place. Then I fell pregnant and whilst I was ecstatic I didn't realise how much would change for me.

I could no longer do the high intensity training that I loved. On top of that I was extremely ill and felt so weak. Insert multiple conflicting information about training while pregnant from everyone. I just felt really confused about what I could and should be doing while pregnant, but I did not want to stop training all together.

After baby the confusion only grew. I had lost a lot

of my strength and fitness and was so confused about where to start to get it back. I missed feeling strong and being able to do the things I could before. I especially missed boxing. However I didn't want to damage my body by jumping straight back into high intensity training.

Plus.....now I had this adorable little baby that wanted to be attached to me 24/7 and didn't sleep. The traditional training places didn't work for me because my baby was just miserable if I wasn't with-in arms reach.

I was exhausted and frustrated as it felt impossible to get back to training which I loved and missed. This started my journey down this path to become a qualified personal trainer and focus my speciality on pre and post pregnancy and rehabilitative exercise.

I realised that there were other women who felt just like me. Women who want to feel strong and capable and were confused about where to start with fitness once pregnant or postpartum.

My Goal

They do say there is no hood like Parent Hood and I believe it. We women are made of something else.

My goal is to create a safe but effective space where women can train. Where we can choose to bring our babies, toddlers and children and know that they too, have a safe space to play, explore or be close to us while we train. If they refuse to be put down then we will use that baby as a weight (safely of course).

A training where you do not have to be limited to just doing yoga or walking (even though these are both awesome exercises) because you are pregnant or post partum. Where you can learn the skills to safely train like the bad a$$ you are but know that the exercises are designed with you in mind. With safe alternatives, progressions and regressions for whatever stage you are at.

I wanted to create a space where the guess work was taken out of training while pregnant or post partum. Where you are training with someone who understands the exhaustion, the time restrains, the frustration of feeling like we are now in a different body while pregnant or after giving birth.

I understand ladies and I can not wait to  help you discover your new strength and fitness as a mum to be, mum or women.

Please note, my classes or services are in no way limited to pregnant women, mums or just women. Anyone is welcome and no matter what stage you are at in your fitness journey I will be able to progress or regress the classes to make sure it is the right amount of challenge for you.

My Passion

I love all things sport, exercises and fitness and I still struggled sometimes to find the motivation and time to train once I had my son. I get that not everyone loves to exercise. Sometimes those things that have been labelled by others as "excuses" are legitimate reasons for you, stopping you from exercising.  For some training is a chore. I want to help you change that. Helping you to make it a habit and overcome the things that have gotten in the way of you training.

I am passionate about creating a space where the children can feel included and also have a safe place to play and be close to Mum.

I have loved learning about how amazing our bodies are and how they change through pregnancy and how we can use exercise to heal. I want to continue to grow and learn in this area to give you the best service possible.
